| Do you accept submissions by mail?
Yes! You can write your letters and mail them to us. All letters submitted via mail are assumed to be for burning only and placed in the art installation unopened. If you wish to have us add it for future publishing you can to submit it electronically as well, or just write "Publish" on the back flap of the envelope. It will be opened, scanned for submission, and resealed. The address for postal submissions is:
Unsent Letters Project 69 Melbourne Avenue SE Minneapolis, MN 55414
When will we be able to see some of the letters?
2/17/06 - Some of your letters are now posted and available for viewing.
2/14/06 - The Your Letters page will be up soon, as of this update the site has been live for about three weeks. We're getting submissions as the word spreads in a small, widening circle. Marketing types call it viral something-or-other, we call it showing respect for the community we're inviting here. That being said, if you happen to own a blimp, a billboard, a barn, or a 73' Chevy van we probably wouldn't mind if you decided to paint our URL across it. We also have flyers ; )
This seems familiar. Has this been done before?
Yes, in one form or another. We certainly don’t claim that this is a unique project in its entirety. We do, however, feel that we bring a unique vision. We know that the essence of what we are trying to do is different than what others have done before us. In the end, the community making use of this project are the ones benefiting from writing a letter.
How can I get involved?
Submit a letter, it’s just that simple. You can also help by donating to the project. Take a look at the Help the Project section for more information.
